The bell is ringing for me.

Bad boy me have been finding a lots of reasons these days not to blog.

Primary of which is that I have been noticing for the last 3 years that it requires a lot of discipline to be a regular blogger. I have never been good at the ‘D’ -word. But then it also requires good writing skill, time management , industry , hardworking mentality , yogic sakthi and above all, the skill to hide the editor window when your boss passes by. Oh wait , he didnt go the way he went, he is hiding behind the isle! , pop! he peeps again, quickly hide the window!, he is off now .. open it again :) , oh! he peeps again!!, hide!, gone! -open , peep! -hide, gone-open , pee-hide , go-open , p-h , g-o , p-h , g-o , p-o! ohno! wrong step , he caught you! . Now you gotta write a new filter to bypass the proxy. :(

Speaking of proxies , cycle bells are nothing but proxies , as I found lately. Picked up one from a local store in jayanagar ( had seen the firefox bells at the BOTS ) . The price was comparatively low , but that being not the reason for picking up this one. Lots of regular cyclists had advised me the uselessness of such a device on a cycle , but I wouldnt heed.

My experience has now shown me that a simple looking cycle bell turns to a monstrous device on the road!! . On the road, when u unknowingly press on the bell, the small lever starts moving through the sweetly sounding machinery inside, a thunderous noise is generated!!!! . The hyper-power waves generated by this device works like the Guqins in Kung-fu hustle. All the vehicles in front of you , are swept to either sides like you are Moses. That auto rickshaw driverĀ  who was honking behind me would be deaf for the rest of his life , suits him as its said that the one who takes sword will be taken by the sword. Same applies for electric horns too.

Thus to save your life on the cycle , use a cycle bell , try to use a bell like the one i picked up from the local shop which says crrr….rrring as mine does. It will remove all beautiful passion you had as a kid ringing bells on your way to school.

Please consider how a bell would sound on a busy bangalore road, at 10am, before you think of this device at all. My affinity to oblige to the traffic rule by ringing the bell while overtaking etc etc are all gone. This simply doesnt work in bangalore. So save yourself that money for a beer.
